TotalEnergies spotlights sustainability at Surfex 2022 with product showcase and seminar
London, June 2022 – TotalEnergies UK will lead a seminar entitled ‘Choosing your way to sustainability’ and present a range of next generation solvents for the surface coatings industry at Surfex 2022, the leading trade expo.
With sustainability a clear priority for businesses in the paint and coatings sector as well as the wider economy, Dr Christophe Hein, Market Manager at TotalEnergies Fluids, will discuss how to assess and choose from a range of bio based solvents and plasticizers, including solutions designed to provide a more sustainable alternative. He will consider the R&D underpinning such products, life cycle assessments and certifications that support traceability and sustainability.
Exemplifying the state-of-the-art solutions now available to the paint and coatings industry and reflecting its company-wide commitment to net zero as well as its track record of developing high purity biodegradable solvents, TotalEnergies will also showcase its BioLife range at Surfex 2022.
BioLife products are derived from 100% certified bio-based feedstock and are readily biodegradable.
As well as delivering clear environmental benefits BioLife solvents offer outstanding performance. They are effective in extreme temperatures, with a pour point down to -80°C and a flash point up to 150°C while the use of hydro de-aromatisation technologies have significant safety benefits for workers.
In addition to BioLife solvents, TotalEnergies UK will also be exhibiting its innovative solvent solutions for a variety of applications including coatings, sealants and adhesives at Surfex 2022.
Organised by the Oil & Colour Chemists Association (OCCA), Surfex is an annual event which aims to help the industry keep up to date with all aspects relating to innovation, development, manufacture and supply of coatings, inks, adhesives and an array of allied and associated industries. It showcases new ideas, provides answers to technical challenges and helps professionals access valuable information for immediate use in the working environment.
